Epiphytes mix kit:

Our Epiphytes mix kit contains 4 different substrates, each carefully selected. It’s good to know that we already use a high-quality potting soil base and chose additives we believe are perfectly suited for Epiphytes (including popular houseplants like Anthuriums, Orchids, Tillandsias, and some Hoyas)! We selected the following substrates:

Tree bark (1 liter): This material helps maintain moisture in the potting soil and, more importantly, provides an airy structure. Adding bark gives the plant something to cling to, introduces plenty of air into the mix, and is gradually broken down by soil organisms, which then release helpful nutrients.

Perlite (1 liter): Supports stronger root development and encourages healthy growth. Perlite boosts oxygen flow to the roots and adds natural drainage. This keeps your plant from sitting in excess moisture and helps prevent root rot.

Sphagnum moss (1 liters): Enhances soil structure and can hold up to 20 times its weight in water! This ensures the mix stays evenly moist. The more sphagnum moss you include, the better and longer the soil will retain moisture.

Charcoal (60 grams): Works as a moisture balancer in the soil. It also captures water-soluble nutrients that benefit the plant. In addition, it improves porosity and drainage, binds toxins, and protects roots from harmful bacteria and fungi. It even helps deter certain insects.
