The braided Pachira Aquatica, also known as the money tree, is a tropical gem with glossy green foliage and a graceful woven trunk reminiscent of South American mangroves. While native to Latin America, it’s most admired in Asia, where its five-lobed leaves are seen as symbols of luck and prosperity in feng shui. Care:

Although the Pachira Aquatica comes from South American wetlands, she prefers drier roots when grown in a pot, so allow the soil to dry out slightly before watering again. She thrives in bright, indirect light but should be protected from intense summer sun. In warmer months, keep her a bit further from the window, and move her closer in winter for extra light. Remove any browned leaves to maintain her tidy look, and feed her once a month in spring and summer with an organic fertilizer to keep her healthy and vibrant.
